TabTrade Review - The Good and the Catch

The Broker - The Short Version

TabTrade.com opened in March 2026. CFD broker registered in Saint Lucia, licensed through the Financial Services Regulatory Authority. The person who started it is Benjamin Boulter. Prior to TabTrade, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, the New Zealand-regulated broker.

The BlackBull connection is relevant. It suggests the person running this has actually done this before. Does not mean TabTrade is the same as BlackBull. It is preferable to a random name you cannot trace.

The broker opened with execution through Equinix servers. Same facilities prime brokers run on. Usually a new brokerage focuses on ads and sign-up promos. Tab Trade did the opposite. Interesting choice.

What you can trade: FX, indices, metals, oil, energies, softs, equities, crypto, exchange-traded funds. 1,000+. For a platform that launched in March 2026, the breadth is solid.

Platforms

Available: MT5, cTrader by Spotware, and a browser platform. Both MT5 and cTrader from a single account. Most brokers commit to either MT5 or cTrader. Getting both is useful. You are not locked into one.

MT5 is the default. Full charting, Expert Advisors, tons of scripts and indicators. If you have used MetaTrader previously, there are no surprises.

cTrader by Spotware is the more modern one. Cleaner order book. Faster charting. Native automated trading. A lot of traders like it better than MT5 once they try it.

FIX API is there for algo traders but needs the VIP tier ($25k minimum). TradingView is said to be coming. That should be a good addition when it arrives.

What You Pay

Three account types: Standard, Edge, VIP.

Standard. 1.0 pip spreads. Zero commission. Simple. No minimum deposit. Works for anyone who does not want to think about commission.

Edge. Raw spreads from 0.0 pips average. Commission of $3.50 each way. Total cost: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On liquid pairs, the actual interbank spread is often under 0.2 pips. So your real cost can be under half a pip. That is cheap for a broker with $0 to start. Most platforms that run raw pricing at this level ask for $500 or $1,000 upfront. This broker requires zero deposit.

VIP account. $25,000 deposit required. FIX connectivity, faster fills, tailored rates. Not something the average person. Skip it unless you trade institutionally.

Execution Speed

This is where this broker stands apart. Equinix servers in London. Under 30ms on Edge. Under 20ms on VIP. Those are institutional numbers. The average platform run hundreds of milliseconds.

Does it matter? If you scalp, it does. The gap between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is profit or loss on tight trades. If you trade higher timeframes, it matters less. But the fact that they invested in proper execution. That says something about priorities.

Put together those fill times with the Edge account pricing and the overall offering makes sense. Hardly anyone with no minimum deposit offer execution like this.

Safety

This is the thing you need to be straight about. Tab Trade is regulated by Saint Lucia's FSRA. That is offshore. No ASIC. No fund protection scheme. If the lack of tier-1 regulation is a dealbreaker, stop reading. Lots of ASIC-licensed brokers out there.

That said. Benjamin Boulter came from BlackBull Markets, an FMA-regulated broker. The server placement is not cheap. Scam brokers do not invest in proper execution infrastructure. None of this make it safe. It should inform how you think about it.

The trade-off: no FCA or ASIC safety net. What you get instead: 1:1000 leverage, raw pricing from 0.0 pips, no minimum deposit, Equinix execution. Whether the trade-off makes sense depends on you.

The Bonus

TabTrade runs a welcome bonus of up to $2,000. Usual sign-up bonus. You fund your account, they add bonus funds. Standard terms apply: trading volume requirements before the bonus becomes withdrawable. Read the conditions before funding.
