Tab Trade - What Traders Should Know

Tab Trade — The Short Version

Tab Trade opened in Q1 2026. CFD broker registered in Saint Lucia, licensed through the Financial Services Regulatory Authority. The founder is Benjamin Boulter. Prior to TabTrade, he was in leadership at BlackBull Markets, an New Zealand-regulated broker.

His background is relevant. It says the founder has actually done this before. Does not guarantee anything. But more reassuring than a founder with no industry background.

TabTrade came out of the gate with Equinix LD4/LD5 connectivity. Same data centres prime brokers run on. Most new brokers focuses on ads and sign-up promos. These guys went the other way. Unusual for a new broker.

The instrument list: FX, indices, metals, oil, energies, softs, shares, crypto, ETFs. 1,000+. For something that launched in March 2026, that range is solid.

The Software

Available: MetaTrader 5, cTrader, and a WebTrader. Both MT5 and cTrader from the same login. Many only give you one or the other. Having both matters. Use whichever you prefer.

MT5 is the default. Complete charts, Expert Advisors, huge user base. If you have traded on a MetaQuotes platform before, there are no surprises.

cTrader is the cleaner option. Better DOM. More responsive charts. Native automated trading. Plenty of traders like it better than MT5 after using both.

FIX API is there for bots but needs the VIP tier ($25,000 deposit). TradingView charting is apparently coming. That should round things out when it lands.

What You Pay

Three tiers: Standard, Edge, VIP.

Standard. Spread starts at 1.0 pips. Commission-free. Easy to track. $0 to start. Suits beginners.

Edge. Raw spreads from 0.0 pips on average. Commission of $3.50 per side. What you actually pay: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On liquid pairs, the raw spread is frequently under 0.2 pips. Meaning your real cost sometimes sits under half a pip. That is cheap for a broker with no minimum deposit. Most platforms that have spreads this tight want $500 or more to open. This broker does not.

VIP. $25,000 deposit required. FIX API, faster fills, negotiated fees. Not for the average person. Do not worry about it unless you run serious volume.

Execution Speed

The execution is the thing this broker actually does something different. Equinix servers in London. Sub-30ms execution on Edge. Sub-20ms on VIP. Those are not marketing fluff. The average platform operate at 100ms to 300ms.

Does it matter? For short-term trading, absolutely. The difference between fast execution and sluggish execution is profit or loss on tight trades. If you swing trade, you will not notice. But the fact that the infrastructure is there. That is what kind of broker this is.

Pair those fill times with raw spreads at $3.50 per side and what you get makes sense. Few brokers at this price point offer execution like this.

Regulation

This is the detail that matters. Tab Trade is regulated by the FSRA in Saint Lucia. That is offshore. No CySEC. No fund protection scheme. If the lack of tier-1 regulation makes you uncomfortable, stop reading. There are FCA-regulated options out there.

But. Benjamin Boulter spent years at BlackBull Markets, an FMA-regulated broker. The Equinix infrastructure costs real money. Scam brokers do not bother with tier-1 data centre access. None of this replace tier-1 regulation. It does inform your assessment.

The trade-off: you give up tier-1 protection. What you get instead: 1:1000 leverage, cheap spreads, $0 to start, Equinix execution. Whether this deal works comes down to your priorities.

Deposit Bonus

Tab Trade runs bonus funds of up to $2,000. Usual deposit match. You deposit, they credit extra capital. The normal fine print: trading volume requirements before bonus funds can be taken out. Check the terms before you commit.
